Hey everyone! I’m Dane Lopez, and I’m really excited to be your PASA President this year. I can’t wait to connect with all the new faces as well as see our returning members! My main goal this year is to spotlight Philippine traditions and weave them into the many events we have planned. To unite is to support each other, and to truly support each other, we need to understand where our roots come from.

These past few years have been nothing but transformative. I’ve grown not only as a leader but as a person—learning my limits, discovering new strengths, and gaining a deeper understanding of what this organization truly stands for. At the heart of it all has always been the community: the warmth, the unity, the culture. That’s why I joined—and it’s why I stayed, I felt like I was at home in the Philippines and hopefully I was able to give that to all of you.

To my fellow Core members, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your dedication, support, and resilience carried me through every high and low. I could not have asked for a better team to walk beside me. Every step, struggle and achievement you all were there, thank you so much.

And to the E-Board—thank you for making this year possible. You deserve recognition and appreciation from us all. Without the three of them I couldn’t have been able to give guidance. Thank you for always being there every single time. I really don’t know how I could have done without your support.

Through the chaos, the laughter, the late nights, and the challenges—we made it. And it has been the greatest honor to serve as Coresilim’s President.
